HALO CEO Paula Roberts Speaks to University of Toronto Non-Profit Leadership Program
In March of 2020 HALO CEO Paula Roberts was invited to speak to the University of Toronto’s Non-Profit Leadership Continuing Education Program on the topic of change management. Paula did a presentation and answered questions on the work that she led on behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), first in 2017 as CCS merged with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and then in February 2020 when CCS amalgamated with Prostate Cancer Canada.
Discussion explored different types of change initiatives and frameworks for leaders to manage change. Paula has been working with the Canadian Cancer Society for several years in the role of Executive Vice President, Brand Marketing, Communications and Digital as part of the organization’s Executive Leadership Team. During this time the organization has successfully managed significant financial and cultural change including a double digit reduction in fundraising expenses and increased funding for research, programs and services.
